MetroLink is more than a transport project, it is a cornerstone of Ireland’s strategy to address climate change and deliver long-term benefits for Dublin and the wider region.

We define sustainability as making a positive difference through the delivery of Economic, Social and Environmentally sustainable solutions.

In terms of Social Value this involves making a positive difference to individuals, communities, stakeholders, and wider society through delivery of equitable social, environmental and economic outcomes and benefits. While MetroLink will organically create Social Value through improved mobility, suppliers will be required to embed Social Value into their project deliverables to maximise the opportunity for positive impact.

Metrolink’s balanced scorecard will support this process by clearly identifying the areas we value most and the key criteria we will use to evaluate bids, and supplier performance. To see the balanced score card click here.

MetroLink is committed to four key areas of Social Value: promoting education, skills and employment; embedding economic inclusion; inclusive practices and design; and investing in communities.
