MetroLink seeks Specialist Heritage Works Contract to Safeguard Dublin’s Landmark Monuments During Construction

MetroLink seeks Specialist Heritage Works Contract to Safeguard Dublin’s Landmark Monuments During Construction

TII is seeking to establish a contract for the delivery of Specialist Heritage Works for MetroLink.

This will see the safeguarding in situ or secure and safe removal and storage of many Dublin landmark monuments along the MetroLink alignment for the duration of construction.

The contract, called the M190 contract, also covers repair, conservation and cleaning of heritage items before subsequent reinstatement.

The Specialist Heritage contract is required to support the successful preparation of sites across Dublin over 12 years.

The scope of the contract encompasses four key phases:

  • Preparatory works such as setting up storage facilities, preparing method statements for heritage constraint removal, scheduling, programming works and surveys, and organising all necessary resources
  • The dismantling, salvage, transport, and storage of heritage items, ensuring proper management systems are in place at storage facilities
  • The repair and conservation of heritage items, including developing and submitting proposals and method statements for cleaning, repair, restoration, adaptation, fabrication, and conservation

Preparing and submitting proposals for reinstatement works, carrying out these tasks during the Main Works Contract or as specified, and reinstating heritage constraints in line with approved documentation

TII will conduct a pre-qualification process followed by inviting a shortlisted number of Applicants to respond to an Invitation to Tender.
